Dear Donna, Congratulations on earning the endorsement of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 49 in your race for the Woodbury City Council.
As you know, IUOE Local 49 is Minnesota's largest construction union and has the honor to represent over 15,000 members in minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. Our members take great pride in building the region's infrastructure including transportation, commercial and residential housing, energy, mining, and other construction projects. We will continue to advocate for investments in infrastructure projects, prevailing wages, and our members' rights to work in safe conditions.
Our union has a long history of supporting candidates who support our members' jobs, livble wages, effective permitting & regulatory issues, and all aspects of their work. It is imperative that our members have strong representation at the local, state, and federal levels of our government. Our members appreciate candidates who support the issues that are important to us and thus, consequently endorse your campaign for the Woodbury City Council.
